Over two immersive weekends, you will enter into the transformative world of sound healing instruments with a primary focus on Crystal Alchemy Bowls and how to play them with proficiency. In level II, you will also be introduced to gongs, tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, and other sacred instruments as well as vocal toning. Through hands-on training, energetic transmission, and guided practice, you will gain the skills, confidence, and certification to begin sharing sound medicine with others.

Day One - Foundations of Sound Healing

  • A grounded, experiential introduction into the art and practice of sound healing through the ages through the present moment.

  • You will explore how vibration and frequency affect the nervous system, energy body, and emotional state, while learning the foundations of working with sound as a healing tool. Through guided listening, simple techniques, and embodied awareness, this introduction opens the door to using sound with intention, presence, and respect for its power.

  • An exploration of alchemy crystal singing bowls and the unique energetic qualities each one carries. Introducing how different crystal blends, metals, and frequencies interact with the body, emotions, and subtle energy field, helping you develop discernment, resonance, and an intuitive relationship with these powerful sound healing instruments.

  • A practical introduction to core playing techniques and proper mechanics for working with crystal singing bowls. Focus on posture, mallet pressure, speed, and listening skills to create clear, stable tones while supporting ease in the body and consistency in sound. You will build a strong technical foundation that allows the bowls to speak fully and safely.

  • A practical overview of how to create a safe, grounded container for sound healing sessions. Space preparation, energetic boundaries, intention setting, and basic facilitation skills to support emotional regulation, trust, and nervous system safety for both practitioner and participant.

Day Two - Crystal Singing Bowls + Session Crafting

  • A focused exploration of tonal pairing and harmonics when working with crystal singing bowls. Examining how tones interact, how overtones are created, and how to listen for harmony or tension, supporting more intentional, balanced, and effective sound journeys.

  • A practical framework for sequencing a full sound healing journey from opening to integration. Pacing, tonal progression, transitions, and closing techniques, helping participants design coherent, grounded sessions that support regulation, depth, and safe completion.

  • A clear introduction to the chakra system and its relationship to musical notes and frequency. How sound interacts with the energy body, how specific tones correspond to energetic centers, and how to work with this framework in a grounded, non-formulaic way to support balance and coherence.

  • A grounded exploration of working with intention, energy, and the subtle bodies in sound healing. Presence, awareness, and ethical use of intention, helping you understand how sound interfaces with the energetic field while maintaining clarity, boundaries, and respect for the client’s process.

  • A practical guide to building a balanced set of crystal singing bowls. Tonal range, complementary frequencies, energetic coverage, and practical considerations for different settings, helping you choose and work with bowls that function cohesively as a set rather than as individual pieces.

  • A structured partner practice designed to build confidence, fluidity, and responsiveness when facilitating sound healing. You will practice playing, holding space, and receiving feedback in a supportive setting, strengthening trust in their technique, timing, and ability to stay present with others.

  • A closing session honoring the completion of Level I as a full practitioner training. You are formally recognized as certified sound healer and celebrated for the skills, presence, and responsibility you now carry. The transition from student to practitioner and anchoring integration, confidence, and readiness to serve.

ADVANCED PRATITIONER LEVEL

Day Three - Other Instruments + Vocal Activation

  • A clear introduction to working with gongs, drums, chimes, and tuning forks as supportive sound healing tools. Basic playing approaches, energetic qualities, and practical considerations for integrating these instruments safely and intentionally alongside crystal singing bowls.

  • An exploration of the distinct energetic roles of common sound healing instruments. Examining how bowls, gongs, drums, chimes, and tuning forks affect the body and energy field in different ways, supporting informed, intentional choices when designing and facilitating sound healing sessions.

  • A practical guide to integrating multiple instruments within a sound healing session. Focus on timing, layering, transitions, and restraint, helping participants use gongs, drums, chimes, tuning forks, and bowls in a cohesive way that supports flow, balance, and nervous system safety.

  • An introduction to vocal toning and gentle voice activation as supportive sound healing practices. Exploring simple techniques for using the voice safely and effectively, emphasizing resonance, breath support, and presence while building confidence in the voice as a grounded, accessible healing instrument.

  • An introduction to shamanic sound healing practices as they relate to rhythm, voice, and altered states of awareness. Exploring the role of sound in ceremonial contexts, grounding, and journeying, while emphasizing respect for lineage, ethical practice, and embodied presence rather than imitation or performance.

Day Four - Facilitation, Integration + Professional Pathways

  • A practical overview of facilitating both group and one-on-one sound healing sessions. Pacing, presence, communication, and attunement to individual versus collective needs, helping participants adapt their approach while maintaining clarity, safety, and professional confidence.

  • A focused exploration of what it means to hold space as a sound healing practitioner. Grounded presence, clear communication, energetic boundaries, and self-trust, supporting facilitators in leading sessions with steadiness, integrity, and confidence.

  • A practical guide to developing a clear, authentic signature sound healing offering. Identify your strengths, preferred instruments, and facilitation style, and translate them into a cohesive offering that feels grounded, ethical, and aligned with their way of serving.

  • A clear overview of ethical considerations and client care in sound healing practice. Informed consent, scope of practice, boundaries, confidentiality, and aftercare, supporting practitioners in working responsibly, professionally, and with respect for the wellbeing of those they serve.

  • A practical introduction to the business foundations of sound healing practice. Basic pricing considerations, value assessment, session formats, and simple business structures, helping practitioners approach their work with clarity, sustainability, and professionalism.

  • A culminating practicum that integrates the full scope of Level I training. For more than a decade, Sheherazad Barnes has walked the path of sound, spirit, and transformation. From her early years as a DJ to her life’s calling as a sound priestess, healer, and teacher, Shehera has devoted herself to exploring the mysteries of vibration, energy, and consciousness.

She is the founder of Anahata Holistic Healing and a mentor for the Sound Healers Academy, guiding hundreds of practitioners into their purpose. Her work blends ancient wisdom with modern practice, rooted in over 10+ years of professional sound healing and a lifetime of spiritual study.

Shehera holds multiple certifications in Sound Healing, Yoga, Reiki, Seichem, Pranic Healing, Breathwork, and Meditation. Her initiatory path has been shaped by the lineages of Egypt, the Rose Priestess tradition, and the great mother goddesses of history. She has shared her teachings across international retreats, trainings, corporate settings, and sacred gatherings, always in service to raising collective frequency and empowering others to embody their gifts.

Julia Quena Kavi is an award-winning opera singer and master vocalist with over 27 years of devotion to the voice as both an art form and a healing instrument. A gifted multi-instrumentalist, she plays piano, ukulele, guitar, drums, harmonium, singing bowls, Mexican flute, and ancient percussion. Her work explores the voice as a bridge between body, spirit, and consciousness, guiding others through vocal activations, ikaros, toning, and shamanic sound practices that awaken deep remembrance.

Julia has organized and facilitated more than 150 retreats worldwide and is the creator of multiple addiction recovery and life transformation programs. Her work is rooted in empowerment, presence, and embodied healing, supporting individuals through profound inner shifts and lasting change.

Walking the medicine path for over 11 years, Julia is a certified sound therapist, tantra teacher, and clinical hypnotherapist. She has studied breathwork and cleansing rituals in Mexico and deepened her relationship with plant medicine in Peru. She holds sacred ceremonies honoring the Shipibo lineage, where she received her spiritual name, Quena Kavi. Her teachings carry the resonance of devotion, discipline, and reverence for sound as a sacred technology for healing and awakening.

  • No. Level I training is beginner friendly and also supportive for experienced healers who want to deepen their skill. You will learn everything from foundational principles to the energetic technology behind working with bowls.

  • Yes. After completing all modules and practice requirements you will receive a Sound Healing certification through AHH Academy. Practitioner Level I is a complete sound healing certification. Practitioner Advance Level II is for the student who would like to incorporate other instruments besides crystal bowls including voice activation.

  • You will need a set of 3 bowls however, you can begin without bowls and learn how to choose your first bowl or build a set. We will guide you through the selection process based on energy, tone, and personal resonance.

  • Absolutely. Sound healing is a growing field in wellness, meditation, yoga studios, retreats, corporate settings, and private sessions. This training gives you both skill and confidence to begin offering sessions right away.

  • The training runs over one or two weekends depending on level you choose. Personal practice hours for a total of 16 or 32 hours with live instructions, demonstrations, guided practice, partner work, energetic transmissions and practicum hours .

  • Many people are. This training includes gentle voice activation practices that help you feel safe and confident expressing sound. Your voice is one of your most powerful healing tools.

  • Yes. You will learn how to structure sessions, lead groups, work with clients ethically, and create safe containers. There are also teachings on pricing, creating offerings, and building your sound healing path.

  • Comfortable clothes, water, a journal, and anything that helps you feel grounded. Instruments will be provided for practice during the training.

  • Yes. We are an approved Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, and these hours can be added to your registered Yoga Alliance credits.
